The time marked her flaws,
The scars marked her strengths,
She had crawled all the way up,
The walls nobody could climb,
They were painted the darkest shades of cold gray,
And while she had tried to run away from her demons,
She fell prey to the light from deep within her soul,
It was a slow motion embrace,
Watching the dark of the cold night fade into the bright crimson morning,
It felt like eternity embracing infinity,
It required no beginning nor ending,
This was her moment to escape from the thought of tomorrow,
Slow dancing with the present and her dreams followed,
This was her reminder to never stop climbing,
She was stronger than ever, it was now or never.

About globalunison
Writing is my passion and that is what I do here on this blog. I write about everything, whether it be Nature, Love, Hate, Relationships, Humans, Personal Life (where I discuss lessons learnt through real-life experiences), Food, Philosophy (sometimes) and much more. I write in any form whether it be Prose or Poetry. I am in search of ‘Myself’, hence there is not much I can tell you about me. Perhaps, I have a very brilliant idea. Why don’t you come along with me on my journey? I will always care to share and you can also enjoy the ride.
For now, this is it. I am ‘ME’ – a wanderer in search of a fulfilling life. Until next time, Love Living Life!
I express my sincere gratitude to all my Readers!
-Naima

The apt similes; some abstract phrases; a beautiful theme embedded; perfect crescendos and intonations; and a dreamy eyed poetess.

Silent for too long, eh?
Hey, this is bibliophilediaries! I made a new blog on which I’m going to remain active. I’d love it if you would follow me 🙂
You are beautiful dear sister, and i have missed your words. You are always embraced in my prayers and thoughts…awesome poem which shows a blossoming especially in your smile! Hugs and blessings Naima!
You have disappeared again. Are you ok?
Hey D, I hope you are doing well. Been super busy with the final year of undergrad so didn’t get much time to blog. After all, law school can kick anybody’s arse. I will head to your blog soon. I have missed reading your work, girl.
Much love,
-Naima
Been in the law school and done all. Don’t worry, the fruit of your labour is sweet. Can say that as an Attorney. 😉
Ah, I didn’t even know that. What law do you specialize in? And hopefully everything turns out well but I know I have to go a long way before anything even close to success can be celebrated, academia is just a stepping stone. Stepping into professional world can be very daunting.
All well on your side?
-Naima
Used to do criminal but moved to civil litigation. Yes, everything would be fine. Don’t worry.
I will be migrating in three weeks. That’s the latest.
Woah, criminal! It must be such an interesting life to be a criminal lawyer, my parents are not very keen when I express that I want to be a criminal attorney.
Migrating, that sounds amazing. Where are you migrating to and from where? You must be psyched about it.
-Naima
I would be migrating to Canada. For a time being long distance with my beau. Urgh… how I loathe it.
Aww, is the migration temporary? And where are you migrating from? I am sure you’ll miss him but haven’t you heard, what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger? Plus, we all are here for you.
-Naima
Hey Naima, I finally posted another entry to my blog I think you will appreciate. It’s short but sweet. Hope everything is well with you.
Kylee
Glad you are back!!! I was listening to some dramatic music while reading this one and it read with such great power. You have an amazing gift to write so many ways!
Hallo, you! 😀 Glad to see you are back! – and a little birdie told me, stronger too. 🙂 ❤
Loved the poem… So much strength.. the nerdy glasses are totally invisible though, and you look so sweet.
Ah, you are being so generous with your compliments! Thank you! (:
-Naima
Your most welcome 🙂
Beautiful poem and the glasses 😀
Ah, thank you! (: I hope you are doing well.
-Naima
